Custom Pens for School Student
I have an alumnus pen from my alma mater, and I treasure it. of course, the pen is actually from the alumni association and not the school itself, but still, a token like that is valuable anyway. The same goes for custom pens for schools, even if they aren't alumni pens. It's all in the symbolism, that's what I keep telling my wife. She works at an elementary school as an administrator, and though she came up with the idea of using custom pens for their school, she isn't entirely convinced by her own idea. She tends to overly think matters, but she's got a point.
After all, what do custom pens for schools say? Hey, enroll here and you get a neat pen with the school name on it? Well, my wife's always been teaching, she's never seen the marketing aspects of the corporate world. It's all about branding-and the same goes for schools and other institutions too. This applies especially to private schools that need to keep their enrollments up. They need to sort of market their school, and custom pens are a great way to do just that. A pen is a symbol of learning, a symbol of school. Every student should be proud enough of his or her school to want to carry a school pen around. And kids who see these kids carrying school pens around would want to have their own. Well, at least that's the gist of it when it comes to marketing to best the competition.
But I think there's a deeper meaning behind using custom pens for schools. Sure, they symbolize a lot of what school is, plus they're quite practical, being cheap and all. But like I said, it's all about the symbolism. Through the pen the process of learning is enriched. In fact, without the pen, a process of learning might not be in place. Every school can use the pen to symbolize itself, but schools of literature and arts can further capitalize on this symbolism. For a school of future and aspiring writers and artists, the pen is the beginning of their dreams.
I tell all this to my wife, but she always out-thinks my reasoning. I guess that's what years of administrating a school for children does, a constant second-guessing nature. At times she does realize the marketing value of custom pens, and can even convince herself that her school having their own custom pen means they are proud of the education they provide and are willing to spread the school name far and wide through these pens. Well, at least I sold the marketing facet to her completely.
And indeed, she admits that both she and I use pens printed with brands of different companies, and sometimes those companies can be so luxurious that having a pen with their brand on it is sort of like a badge of once experienced luxury. In the same vein, custom pens for schools can likewise promote a school better than banners can-it's all in what it means.
